Send high-definition photos
Meta has finally enabled an option that allows users to send high-definition (HD) pictures directly on WhatsApp to preserve image quality and details. Users can now send an HD picture on WhatsApp from both Android and iOS devices. Similarly, Meta is also said to be working on enabling the HD video-sharing feature to WhatsApp.
Instant video messages
You can respond to a message with a short video on WhatsApp. This brand-new feature allows users to send short videos while conversing with friends and families, which adds a new dimension to the chatting experience on Meta’s WhatsApp.
Mute unknown callers
For those fed up with receiving calls from unknown persons on WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform allows to automatically mute calls from unknown numbers to enhance privacy. Users can now enable the mute unknown calls option to stay away from unsolicited audio and video calls from strangers.
Edit your sent messages
WhatsApp information portal WABetaInfo had reported in March that the instant messaging service was testing the feature in Beta. This feature will come in handy if you make any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors when you send out messages.
To edit a message once the feature becomes available to you, all you have to do is long press on it, and an “Edit” option will appear.
Messages that are edited with the feature will have an “edited” feature alongside the message. Although there will be an edited message label, there will be no edit history shown, according to the company. This should mean that the edit feature will also be useful if there is any information that you want to remove from a message without deleting it.
